Concealed Handgun Permits

 

Virginia Resident Concealed Handgun Permits are issued by the circuit  court of the county or city in which the applicant resides. First time applications or Renewal applications may be submitted in person or by mail. The application fee is $25.00 to Clerk’s office and $20.00 to Sheriff Department for background check. Applications require (1) ID: driver’s license or photo id and (2) proof of in-person handgun training. Please contact the applicable court for specific instruction on the application process. Applications for Concealed Handgun permits are available from the Clerk's Office or online.
